What are My Loan Terms?

Customers can apply from a minimum sum of 100 KES to the maximum sum of 70000 KES, ranging from a minimum of 63 days to a maximum of 730 days.

Loan sums from 100 KES – 70,000 KES 

The monthly interest of 2% – 16% 

Effective APR of 22% - 199% 

A one-time loan processing fee of 3%

Interest rates are determined by a number of factors, such as your repayment history and the cost of lending for L-Pesa. The customer can pay the loan before its due date and be eligible for another loan. Standard SMS and data charges by your mobile carrier may apply.

For example, for a 63 day loan with a principal of KES 1030, the processing fee is KES. 31(3%) and the interest will be KES. 263. The total sum due would be KES.1294.

Total Payment Duration: 63 days (9 weeks)

Depending on the loan amount for which you are eligible, you have the option to choose repayment terms up to 9 weeks minimum. Every loan amount we offer has the option to repay in a minimum of 63 days to a maximum of 730 days. No auto-debit is guaranteed. You can decide when you are ready to repay.

Loan repayments are done on a weekly schedule.

Penalty?

Upon the lapse of the loan repayment duration, you will not be able to access any loan until repayment is complete; furthermore, your loan limit will be reduced as your credit score lowers.

Under account number: Use your registered phone number or loan reference number.

Loan Payment can be made in full or partially before the due date.
